$85 millions worldwide is very decent for a film of this budget, and Julia is still one of the most bankable female stars in the world. this is how I would rank her among all the ladies in Hollywood who could actually open a film base on her name alone at the moment:

1. Jennifer Lawrence
2. Melissa McCarthy
3. Meryl Streep

The rest has to be in the right vehicle:

4. Scarlett Johansson
5. Angelina Jolie
6. Anne Hathaway
7. Sandra Bullock
8. Julia Roberts
9. Shailene Woodley
10. Jennifer Aniston

very few of my friends knows who melissa mccarthy is. she may be huge in america, but she's not a big name in europe, not as big as lawrence, jolie, johansson or julia.

Melissa is nearly as popular in the U.S. as Jennifer Lawrence, but her age and looks don't get her the attention she deserves. She isn't that big overseas.

But really, Julia is still top five worldwide for actresses. She's more of a worldwide draw then Scarelett, Sandra etc.

Angelina is off the grid worse than Julia.

Excuse me, but I don't think Meryl could open a film by her name alone lately
She has to be in right movie
